Prerona Self-Help Group in Dibrugarh district declared ‘Best Self-Help Group’

Dibrugarh: Prerona Self-Help Group, based in Tengakhat of Dibrugarh district, was declared the best SHG in the State at the State Credit Seminar held recently under the aegis of NABARD in Guwahati. State Agriculture Minister Atul Bora awarded the SHG group with prestigious recognition. The SHG group – having 10 women members - has been able to become an inspiration as many as its members were able to become financially self-sufficient by foraying into different ventures like piggery and broiler farms. Another area where the SHG fared better than the other SHGs was the proper utilization of the credit which they got from the bank.
