Prevent child labour and educate children, says District Legal Services Authority

TANGLA: To mark the World Day Against Child Labour, an extensive awareness campaign was carried out by the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Udalguri across the district with an aim to raise awareness for eradication of child labour.

District and Sessions Judge, Udalguri, Chatra Bhukhan Gogoi and DLSA secretary, Udalguri, Kingkini Borah along with Para Legal Volunteer (PLV) Upen Chandra Boro and Prabin Kumar Basumatary conducted the campaign through microphones to sensitize the common people about the prevailing laws on child labour. The campaign emphasized the need to educate children to prevent child labour, highlighted in the salient features of the Child Labour Prohibition and Regulation Act, 2016.
