DIBRUGARH: The week-long programme on 'Human Resource Development in Tea Industry: A short term Orientation programme for future Managers interested in Tea Industry leading to sustainable Development of the Industry,' organized by the Bal Sakha, Assam at Centre Tea and Agro Studies, Dibrugarh University from October 25, successfully concluded on Tuesday. The session was inaugurated by PK Borua, chairman, Centre for Tea and Agro Studies, DU.
In order to thrive a sustainable tea industry, Bourah said, it is necessary that a good amount of social uplift initiatives are invested in the human workforce of the industry. He further stated that sustainable productivity is achieved only when there is upward growth in the Human Development Index of the community. "The welfare activities related to the efficiency of workers and they are essential to increase productivity. The Human Resource Development knowledge through this programme will make efficient management to flourish the industry through the development goals," chairman Borua said.
Dr. Aditya Kumar Chatterjee, Secretary, Bal Sakha Assam, welcomed everyone and told them about the objectives and importance of the programme session. Pransu Raj Kaushik, Assistant Professor, Centre for Management Studies, DU, Dr Partha Ganguli, Associate Professor, and Economic Department, and other dignitaries attended various sessions on different pertinent topics as resource persons.
