Progressive writer Dilip Bordoloi passes away at 78 in Guwahati

JAMUGURIHAT: Progressive writer, newspaper publisher Dilip Bordoloi (78) breathed his last in a private hospital at Guwahati on September 26 due to respiratory related ailments. Bordoloi was born in Borpam Tiniali, north Sootea who started living in Guwahati permanently after 1987. He started his schooling from Kuwaritol, Nagaon and passed out HSLC examination from the then Sootea High school. Bordoloi, a progressive writer was associated with publication of Ganatantra, Saptahik Jeevan, Natun Prithivi etc. Science graduate Bordoloi, served as a founder science teacher at Dikorai High School. He later on shifted to Guwahati and settled there but was in close contact with the people of Borpam, Sootea. He was hospitalized after he was tested COVID-19 positive weeks back. He recovered from COVID-19 but breathed last due to respiratory related ailments on Saturday evening. He leaves behind his wife, two sons, a daughter and a host of relatives. His death was widely mourned.
