Prohibitory order in weekly market areas in Morigaon district

MORIGAON: Considering the mass gatherings at weekly markets like Jagiroad, Laharighat, Moirabari and Bhuragaon in Morigaon district, Deputy Commissioner Rituraj Bora took strict measures by promulgating Section 34 BRC, 2005 in the weekly market areas and asked people to maintain lockdown strictly on Saturdays and Sundays.

On the other hand, the officials engaged in COVID-19 duty have been exempted from the prohibitory order. It is to be noted that people who violate the norms will be punished under the DMA 51/60 and IPC 188, 2005.
