Project Swabalamban: Indian Army Facilitates Youth in Gaining Employment

Guwahati: Dao division under the aegis of Spear Corps facilitated 47 youths from backward areas of Tinsukia district in finding employment. The project was undertaken by the Indian Army as part of its sustained efforts in providing employment to the people of the region. In pursuance of this noble cause, units of Dao Divison collaborated with ‘Project Swabalamban’, a joint venture of Oil India Ltd & Pragati Edutech duly aimed at empowering the local youth in skill development for Tourism and Hotel Management Course.

The units of the Indian Army were instrumental in the identification of the potential youth from far-flung areas till their successful placement in renowned business entities.

The first batch obtained 100% placements with all the 47 students being offered more than one offer.

The initiative of the Indian Army was highly appreciated by the parents and locals as it will further motivate other youths and contribute towards better social and economic security.
