Property worth lakhs destroyed in a massive fire in North Lakhimpur town

LAKHIMPUR: Massive fire gutted a residential house at Khelmati, Ward No. 14 in North Lakhimpur town around 9 pm on Monday night. In addition to the house, property worth around Rs 4 lakh, including cash, was reduced to ashes. This incident took place in the house of Sahid Ali, members of whose family had gone out to visit a neighbour at that time. Two fire tenders finally managed to douse the flames.
