Protest against arrest of Arnab Goswami in Bongaigaon

BONGAIGAON: Protesting against arrest and alleged physical assault of journalist Arnab Goswami by Maharashtra Police, Greater Bongaigaon Press Club (GBPC) staged a protest programme at the GBPC premises. Tajesh Tripathy from GBPC said that suppressing the voice of the fourth pillar of democracy would never be tolerated. "This arrest is unethical and we condemn it and demand his release," he said. Several noted journalists, including Dhiraj Chakraborty, Upananda Sarma and Laxmikant Sarma were present in this protest programme.
