Regarding the issue, the Lakhimpur district committee of the organization staged a protest in Lakhimpur on Sunday in association with Dhakuakhana, Ghilamora, and Boginadi Block committees. The activists of the organization, led by Lakhimpur district Youth Congress president Ananda Narah, burnt the effigies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah at Dhakuakhana town Chariali vehemently opposing the expulsion of the Congress MPs and demanded to withdraw their expulsion.
