Protest rally at Jagiroad Paper Mill by Kagaj Nigam Karmi Union

JAGIROAD: The Kagaj Nigam Karmi Union (KNJU) of the Nagaon Paper Mill (NPM) under the Hindustan Paper Corporation (HPC) launched a protest rally on Tuesday demanding the withdrawal of the recent NCLT’s announcement declaring the NPM as a non-performing industry.

The union secretary, Ananda Bordoloi alleged that the production of the NPM was in full swing till closure of the mill two years back. The union urged upon the Government of India to rejuvenate the mill and pay all arrears pending since then. The secretary also threatened the State and the Central governments to take concrete decision else the employees would take up massive agitation programme.
