DHUBRI: Maha dharna was staged in support of the farmers' movement against the newly-enacted three laws here at PC Barua Maidan on Saturday.

Bharat Vikash Manch (NE) staged the dharna in association with the Farmer Welfare Association, which supported the farmers' right and ongoing movement in Delhi spearheaded by the farmers of Punjab and Haryana. Manch president Dr Ashma Begum told The Sentinel that similar dharna would be organized in other parts of Assam soon if the Central Government did not repeal the laws, including written assurance on Minimum Support Price (MSP).
