Provicialized 'tutor' of Nagaon ME School dies without getting salary

DOOMDOOMA: Rajat Gogoi (53), a teacher of Nagaon ME School under Hapjan Education block in Tinsukia district, who served in the venture school for 28 long years without getting any salary, passed away recently. His post was regularized as 'tutor' by the State Government from February 5 this year at a daily wage of Rs 360 per day as per circular. Although the government released the arrear of three months wages, none of the teachers of Tinsukia district were able to draw their wages so released. Gogoi lived in a house just near the school constructed by the people of the locality as his school quarter. He was mentally disturbed due to non-provincialization of his post as regular teacher.
