BOKO, July 9: A python was recovered from Padma Lochan Rabha’s house at Nadiapara village under Boko police station in Kamrup district. The python was 10 feet long and 15 kg in weight. The python was captured and later released in the Boko Agia forest area. According to villagers, they had earlier recovered many pythons and handed them over to the forest department. But forest officials release the pythons near the village and as a result the pythons keep making their way to Nadiapara village quite often. Hence, this time the villagers took it upon themselves to release the python in the forest area.
