QRT building of 24 Bn SSB inaugurated by JP Singh

RANGIA: The entire Lower Assam, including Baksa and Udalguri districts, has got umbrella protection by Quick Reaction Team of 24 Bn SSB Rangia camped at Hahara. To facilitate the QRT team, a newly constructed QRT building made entirely of bio-degradable and environment friendly materials like bamboo was inaugurated by JP Singh, DIG, SHQ, SSB, Rangia in the presence of Hrishikesh Sharma, Commandant, 24 Bn SSB Rangia and other officers and jawans to accommodate well-trained and suitably equipped commandos of 24 Bn SSB.

These commandos have undergone rigorous training in the elite training centres of the country like NSG training centre, Manesar, Gurgaon, SPG training centre, New Delhi and CIJW School, Kanker, Chhattisgarh to cope up with any exigencies like terror attack, hostage rescue and disposal of IED. The K-9 Squad of 24 Bn SSB has also been effectively utilized as a force multiplier by QRT. On the occasion of the forthcoming Republic Day celebration, QRT has been put on high alert round-the-clock and has been equipped with sophisticated and ultra modern weapons and gadgets. The QRT building has been decorated with artifacts produced by local artisans in order to boost MSMEs of the local area.
