Quami Ekta Week observed at Bhergaon

TANGLA: “Fresh experiences and joy are what make life beautiful. Joy is contagious, it helps us overcome challenges and allows light to illuminate the shadows.” This was observed by noted Assamese novelist and short story writer Manorama Das Medhi here at the SDO(C) office, Bhergaon on Wednesday.

Speaking on the occasion of Quami Ekta Week (National Integration Week), she further said, “We have to reaffirm the old traditions, culture and faith to maintain harmony and brotherhood in the society.” The event witnessed multilingual cultural songs and poetry recitation by artiste Kalyan Rabha, retired teacher Gajen Baruah, and journalist Prafulla Boro. With a view to foster and reinforce the spirit of communal harmony, Quami Ekta Week (National Integration Week) is being observed all over the country, from the November 19 to November 25.
