HAFLONG: Considering people's inconvenience, quarantine centres in hotels of Haflong were vacated and all the inmates were shifted to the Girls' Hostel of Haflong Government College at Haflong on Thursday.

A total of 324 people have been kept in institutional quarantine centres at Haflong and Mahur while 45 people have been discharged.

Meanwhile, a 23-year old youth of Mahur, Dima Hasao, who boarded the Chennai-Jiribam train in Chennai on May 20 de-boarded at Badarpur on May 24, has tested positive for COVID-19. The swab sample was collected on May 24 and he is currently in Maruti Hotel quarantine facility centre in Cachar with present status asymptomatic.

Evon Teron, Assistant Commissioner and also Nodal Officer for Dima Hasao COVID-19, told media persons that all frontline warriors of COVID-19 were working selflessly day and night to fight against coronavirus despite various constraints.
