DUDHNOI: Rabha Hasong Autonomous Council (RHAC) is on the boil again after the secretary of Rabha National Youth Council as well as three other officials were allegedly attacked by miscreants a day after the organization was formed on September 6.

Three separate attacks took place in Dudhnoi on Tuesday night. The first attack took place around 7 pm. Goalpara district council member of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and former president of Rabha Hasong Sixth Schedule Demand Committee, Kushdhwaj Rankha was riding a bike from Dudhnai town to his residence when a group of miscreants in a Maruti Wagon R vehicle approached him and assaulted him. Kushdhwaj Rangkha was seriously injured in the attack and was rushed to a hospital.

Shortly thereafter, the vehicle of Prafulla Rangkha, former president of Goalpara District Rabha Students' Union and secretary of the new organization, was attacked near Hari Temple in Dudhnoi. Prafulla Rangkha was on his way to check the condition of Kushdhwaj Rangkha in the hospital when miscreants, who were following his car, attacked his car with sticks and stones. Other than these two persons, Nikacharan Rabha and Rupam Rabha were also allegedly attacked by miscreants.

At a press conference held on Wednesday at Dudhnoi Inspection Bungalow, secretary of Rabha National Youth Council, Prafulla Rangkha pointed fingers at Rabha Hasong Autonomous Council chief Tankeshwar Rabha. He alleged that the attacks took place at the behest of Tankeshwar Rabha.

Three separate FIRs were lodged in connection with the incidents at Dudhnoi police station. The Dudhnoi police have already initiated investigation on the basis of the FIRs.
