Raid Against Illicit alcohol in Assam-Nagaland border area

GOLAGHAT: A massive raid was carried out against illegal alcohol in the Assam-Nagaland border area at Sector -D, Merapani of Golaghat district on Saturday. The Assistant Commissioner-cum-Executive Magistrate Papu Gogoi along with Excise Inspector Marmeswar Das, Furkating Circle and sector commander Chandan Kumar, D-sector, conducted raids in Nareshpur, Horupani and Padumpathar in Merapani, Assam-Nagaland border area. During the raid, around 15,000 litres of illicit fermented wash and 1,200 litres of illicit country liquor were destroyed and around 70 litres of illegal IMFL were seized.
