Raj Mohan Ray takes charge as new Darrang Superintendent of Police

MANGALDAI: Raj Mohan Ray, Commandant of 1st Assam Police Task Force (APTF) at Dakurbhitha in Goalpara district and an officer of Assam Police Service 2002 batch, on Tuesday took over as the 26th Superintendent of Police of Darrang district.

Outgoing Superintendent of Police and former Ranji player Er Sushanta Biswa Sarma handed over the charge to Raj Mohan Ray at a function at Police Reserve. Er Sushanta Biswa Sarma had rendered his sincere service for a short tenure of 10 months and 25 days only. He will join as the Superintendent of Police, Sonitpur on Thursday.

All the officials of district police and administration on Monday extended a hearty farewell to Er Sarma and also accorded a warm welcome to Raj Mohan Ray in an august function organized at Police Reserve here.
