Rameswar Dhanowar English Academy outperforms other schools in Digboi in the HSLC examination

DIGBOI: The Rameswar Dhanowar (RD) English Academy performed well in the HSLC examination. Securing the overall 98.50 percentage ranking highest among other schools in Digboi, RD English Academy has the genuine reason to cheer with 15 students securing distinction and 29 students securing star marks. Rendering better academic output in comparison to other schools in the Oil city, the Academy produced 55 students in 1st division.

Bishal Verma who scored 91.83% became the apple of eyes for everyone while Lakhyajit Baruah nearly following him got 90.67%. Joining the rows of the 90s further, Aditya Kumar got 90.50 percentage while Dip Jyoti Handique secured 90.17%.

Moving closely behind, Shishu Niketan High School stood at 83.33 as pass percentage with Arbind Lochan Baruah showed better turnout at 90.33 per cent. One student of the Shishu Niketan managed distinction while four-star mark holders. Jatiya Vidyalaya, however, showcased a healthy trend with 92.23 as overall pass percentage while Play House stood at 84.37. Nehru Children scored 62.96 as overall pass percentage while Janata Vidyalaya’s was 53.84.

However, the other schools who could not perform as per the expectation included Rastriya Vidyalaya with 69.76 pass percentage while Digboi High School which landed at 58.42 and Sowmer Vidyapith at 56.25.

Valika Bidya Mandir and Ramdev Siksha Mandir were among the worst-performing schools in Digboi that stood at 29 and 32 overall pass percentage of the school respectively.

Meanwhile, team Jagun Police headed by IC Biju Das felicitated Pallash Phukan of Tirap Higher Secondary School in Jagun for his outstanding academic achievement here at the premises of the police station this afternoon. Pallash Phukan, the son of a farmer at Ahom Pather village -remotely based rural pockets along Assam -Arunachal border location secured 94 % beside distinctions in all subjects. He secured total 565 marks including 95 in English, 92 in Assamese, 93 in Mathematics, 96 in Social Science, 97 in Science and 92 in Hindi.
