Rare Keko snakes recovered from Bogamati area along Indo-Bhutan border

BAKSA: Two rare Keko snakes were rescued from Bogamati area along the Indo-Bhutan border under Nagrijulo Police Outpost in the district of Baksa in a operation launched by the No. 24 SSB of Rangia 'G' company led by ASI Milan Chandra Shill.

Following secret information, the SSB team led by Milan Chandra Shill launched an operation along the Indo-Bhutan border. During the operation, the SSB team noticed two persons along the Indo-Bhutan border walking towards Bogamati tourist spot with a bag. When the persons saw the SSB personnel they managed to escape inside the dense jungle area from the spot leaving the bag.

Later on, the SSB team rescued two rare Keko snakes inside a bamboo tube. SSB launched search operation along the jungle area in search of the two persons but failed to nab them. The Keko snakes were handed over to Kumarikata forest range office. The snakes will be released.
