Rashtriya Janata Dal leader Tejashwi Yadav campaigns in Tinsukia

TINSUKIA: Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav addressed an election campaign meeting at Chaliha Nagar Playground, Tinsukia on Monday and urged the electorate of the constituency to cast their votes in favour of RJD candidate for 122 Tinsukia LAC, Hira Devi Choudhary.

Yadav told the gathering that the RJD had fielded only one candidate in entire Assam for the forthcoming assembly election and it was in alliance with the Congress. The RJD leader also said that if voted to power, the Congress-led Grand Alliance would implement the five guarantees promised by the Congress party. Earlier, Tejashwi Yadav participated in a road show from Hijuguri of Tinsukia town to Chaliha Nagar Playground, Tinsukia.

The Congress had compromised Tinsukia seat with RJD which led to resentment among local leaders and grassroots Congress workers.
