Red Horns Division Army organizes Ex-servicemen Rally at Bongaigaon

Kokrajhar: The Army unit of the Red Horns Division on Saturday organized ex-servicemen rally at the District Library Auditorium, Bongaigaon.

Attended by war widows, widows and ex-servicemen of districts of Chirang, Bongaigaon, Kokrajhar, and Dhubri, the rally witnessed a strength of around 1500 ex-servicemen, war widows and widows.

A medical camp was also organized side by side to give medical assistance. The rally also served as a platform to inform ex-servicemen of the latest welfare schemes being run by the Government of India and the Army for their benefit. The event witnessed the display of numerous information kiosks for the assistance of the participating veterans and Next Of Kins.

Cultural programme and adequate administrative arrangements were done at the venue by the Army. The students from various schools and colleges also participated in the cultural event to give it a touch of local culture and heritage.
