Red Horns Division of Indian Army flags off national integration tour

GUWAHATI: In a colourful ceremony, Red Horns Division, under the aegis of Gajraj Corps, flagged off a national integration tour comprising of 20 village elders hailing from remote parts of Kokrajhar district, Assam. The tour was flagged off by GOC Red Horns Division at Rangiya on Wednesday.

The team will be visiting New Delhi, Agra and Jaipur during the next two weeks. The tour comprises of 20 village elders belonging to the entire spectrum of ethnicities in Assam. The tour’s multifaceted aims include broadening the horizons of influential village elders by introducing them to the best India has to offer, by showing the heritage of our country and increasing awareness about educational and professional avenues and by building bridges between communities. They will be visiting places of historic, military, academic, professional & recreational interests, including the Red Fort, Akshardham Temple, Raj Bhavan, Agra Fort, Taj Mahal, Jaipur City Palace among many others, a press release stated.
