SIVASAGAR: Under the scheme for Rural Infrastructure Development Fund 2021-22, three Refrigerated Fish Transport Vehicles were formally distributed among beneficiaries by Sivasagar Deputy Commissioner Aditya Vikram Yadav, in presence of District Fisheries Development Officer Deba Kumar Deori, Fisheries Development Officer Pulin Deka, Inspector of Fisheries Biplab Kar and others, near the DC's Office, Sivasagar on Thursday. The vehicles were distributed among beneficiaries Ratul Das, Yusuf Ahmed and Rintumani Barua.

According to the beneficiaries, they were happy to have a wonderful way of living. They hoped that they would now be able to reduce the cost of transportation and export their produce to neighbouring districts or the neighbouring state of Nagaland. Fisheries farmers would also be able to take advantage of the increase in demand by exporting fish outside.
