NAGAON: Amidst the row over the mysterious ‘death’ of SI Junmoni Rabha, the news about the release of Sumit Kumar Paul, the driver of the container truck that rammed the personal vehicle of the deceased police SI leading to death, from jail intensified more suspicion over the impartial investigation into the case of mysterious the death of SI Junmoni on Saturday.
It’s however alleged that Jakhalabandha PS police allegedly treated the entire incident as a simple road accident and registered the case of Sumitra Rabha’s FIR under section of 279/427/304(A) Indian penal code only for which the arrested truck driver Sumit Kumar Paul, a permanent resident of Bihar who surrendered to Jakhalabandha PS after a couple of days of the mysterious accident, was released from the jail.
It also came to the notice of the conscious people of the small town here that the driver who was supposed to be a sustainable witness to evade the mystery of the death of SI Junmoni, has been allegedly kept aside from the media since his surrender by the investigative agency as well as the police of Jakhalabandha PS. They alleged that Sumit Kumar Paul, the driver of the container truck could be able to come out of the jail because of the loose case diary recorded by investigating officer of the case for which it is feared that the entire case of mysterious ‘death’of SI Junmoni will be remained as a mere road accident.
It’s pertinent to mention here that following the mysterious ‘death’ of the deceased police sub inspector, her mother Sumitra Rabha lodged an FIR asserting it as a pre planned murder and depicted a series of coincidences as well as sequence occurred just before and after the mysterious death of SI Junmoni Rabha where the bereaved mother accused outgoing SP Leena Doley, ASP Tridib Kumbang, Raja Irshad, OC, Dhing and SI Abhajyoti Rabha for the mysterious death of her child.
