LAKHIMPUR: Indo-Global Social Service Society (IGSSS) is a non-profit organization working for a human social order based on truth, justice, freedom, and equity. As part of the humanitarian response under the thematic area Disaster Risk Reduction, IGSSS, with financial grant from Cipla Foundation, distributed relief items among 500 families covering seven villages under the Lakhimpur district named Gelahati, Ahumoni, Singara, Tokobari, Kathalphukuri and three villages under Dhemaji district named No. 1 & No. 2 Khonakrishnapur and Paniyamerani respectively. The relief items comprised of five pieces of detergent bar, 8 pieces of bathing soap, 3 packets of sanitary napkins, 6 packets of water purifier powder (10 gram), 1 piece tarpaulin with nylon rope, two double-sized mosquito nets, 4 packets of ORS and 2 litres of mustard oil. The distribution started on July 14 and ended on Wednesday.
