Religious procession against Citizenship Amendment Act in Doomdooma

DOOMDOOMA: With the advent of New Year, instead of going for picnics and enjoying programs, people, especially the rural folks in the surroundings of Doomdooma, preferred to stay back at home and join the protest march in a religious manner. On Thursday, the people of Greater Xara Mechai area near Kakapather, who mostly belong to the Moran community, brought out a religious procession against C(A)A in the form of ‘Prarthana Xabah’ and Naam kirtan. Similar protest marches were brought out a few days back in Samaluguri Xatra and Barekuri area which is also predominantly inhabited by the Morans.
