Reserve 10 Assembly seats for Hindu Bengalis: AABYSF

GUWAHATI: The All Asom Bengali Youth Students’ Federation (AABYSF) has demanded reservation of 10 seats for the Hindu Bengalis in the Brahmaputra Valley in the 2021 assembly elections. The federation’s general secretary Bhuson Sarkar told reporters here on Saturday that a satellite autonomous council must be created for the Hindu Bengalis living in the State. The federation demanded the reconstitution of the Linguistic Minorities Development Board in the State.
