Restriction on travel between Kamrup (M) and Udalguri: Deputy Commissioner

TANGLA: The Udalguri district administration has restricted the to-and-from travel between Kamrup (metro) district and Udalguri district until further notification. The order to this effect was issued by Prakash Ranjan Gharphaliya, Deputy Commissioner of Udalguri district, in the capacity of chairman of District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) under Section 34 of the Disaster Management Act, 2005. The DDMA chairman also directed the Joint Director of Health Services of Udalguri district to ensure a compulsory 14 days quarantine for any person coming from Kamrup (metro) district to any part of Udalguri district.
