Retired teacher Chandi Charan Choudhury felicitated in Udalguri district

TANGLA: A farewell-cum-felicitation meeting in honour of recently retired teacher of 2 No. Naharbari LP School, Chandi Charan Choudhury was held at the school premises near Kalaigaon in Udalguri district on Thursday.

The meet was organized by Naharbari Yuvajyoti Sangha. The meet held retired teacher Chandi Charan Choudhury in high regard for his perseverance and dedication in service for nearly three decades. In his acknowledgement speech, Choudhury urged the students to devote themselves to their studies and to succeed in life.

The event also witnessed the release of a book on the life of Choudhury. A number of organizations and institutions, including Naharbari Yuvajyoti Sangha, Tangla Media Circle, Mangaldoi Lok Sabha MP Dilip Saikia felicitated Choudhury with phulam Bihuwan, japi, xarai and letter of appreciation. The villagers and school students also took out a cultural procession with Choudhury throughout the village.
