Retired teacher Minakshi Sarma of Baghmara dies of COVID-19

PATHSALA: Minakshi Sarma, a retired subject teacher of Baghmara HS school died at FAAMH Barpeta, on Saturday night at around 11 pm. She was around 62 years old. A pall of gloom casted in the area after her sudden demise. It is learnt that she was suffering from fever cough and body pain and was admitted to the Barpeta Medical College Hospital and later was detected to have been suffering from COVID-19. She was originally from Majigaon area near Palashbari. She retired from service on 31 January 2019. She was a lady of amicable disposition and is survived by her husband Dr. Karuna Mohan Sarma, retired professor of then Bajali College and a journalist, and daughter.
