Road behind the Old Dibrugarh Railway Station in dilapidated condition

A Correspondent

Dibrugarh: The road behind the Old Dibrugarh Railway Station is increasingly becoming unfit for use. Although lying in a dilapidated condition for long, the present state has become all the more worse. It is not just marked with deep potholes, which give a hard time to anyone using the road, but the inordinate foul smell emanating from the poorly-maintained waste disposal structures makes the journey no less than an ordeal.

Despite the place being a residential area with people of areas like Basbari, Santipara, Guard Quarter and Amolapatty using it daily, the attention it gets is precious little. The road also acts as a link road connecting Amolapatty Rail Gate to Santipara market, besides being used to access important roads like R.K.B. Path and Vivekandanda Road. The residents, who live alongside the road, are quite worried thinking about the awful impact of the unhygienic conditions might have on their children and themselves.
