A road mishap occurred at Silchang under Jagiroad Police Station on Tuesday.

JAGIROAD/Morigaon: A road mishap occurred at Silchang under Jagiroad Police Station on Tuesday. Sources said that Mrinalini Sarma, mother of Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma accompanied by one of his brother were on their way to Diphu in Karbi Anglong to address a meeting when the accident took place. A speedy Scorpio vehicle hit the car and fled the scene. Fortunately no one was reported to be injured. However, high-level police officer of Morigaon and Mayong Revenue Circle Officer visited the spot and took stock of the situation.
