Road mishap claims lives of two students

NAGAON, July 16: In a tragic road mishap on Monday morning near Mohkhuli on outskirts of Nagaon town, two students lost their lives. While one died on the spot, the other died on the way to Guwahati after he was seriously injured in the mishap. According to police sources, the deceased students have been identified as Rahul Bora (18) and Bhargav Bora (15) of Gatanga village under Rupahihat police station. Rahul was a student of Renaissance Junior College and Bhargav was a student of Nabarup Jatiya Vidyalaya.

The tragic accident took place when both the students were on a scooty (AS02C 9427) which had a head-on collision with a Magic van (AS12AC 0465) near Mohkhuli Chariali. In the accident, Rahul was killed on the spot and Bhargav was admitted to Nagaon Civil Hospital in a critical condition after he sustained serious injury. But the doctor on duty after considering the condition of the patient, referred him to Guwahati but he died on the way near Khetri.
