Road mishap claims two lives

DIGBOI, May 22: In a fatal road accident that took place on Monday at Powai under Digboi Police Station in Tinsukia district, two youths died on the spot while another sustained multiple injuries. The deceased bikers are yet to be identified while the injured pillion rider was identified as Trivenita Borpatrogohain of Digboi. According to sources, the incident occurred when the two ill-fated motorcycles coming from the opposite direction had a head-on collision on NH-38 at Powai area under Digboi Police station. The injured was immediately rushed to Margherita Civil Hospital for treatment while the bodies of the deceased youths were kept in the hospital morgue till filing of this report.
