Rongali Bihu celebrations by Kalaigaon Kendriya Rongali Bihu Sanmilani

KALAIGAON: The Kalaigaon Kendriya Rongali Bihu Sanmilani is going to celebrate the 39th Kendriya Rongali Bihu with a 3-day long programme in the premises of Kalaigaon Inspection Bangalow from April 21. A strong celebration committee was formed for the smooth functioning of the programme with Jagadish Sarkar as president and Binay Ch Nath as secretary.

According to the committee, the first day will be started with lighting of lamp and flag hosting. After that homage ceremony, plantation of saplings, bihuwan offering, sports competition, open bihu competition along with a variety of competitions like literature, dance, quiz will be organized during the celebration. A souvenir namely “Rongili” will be inaugurated in the open meeting. Several dignitaries like BTC chief Hagrama Mohilary, Minister Rihon Daimary, MLAs, EMs have been invited to take part in this open meeting. A cultural programme will be organized and famous artiste Bipin Chaudang will be performing.
