SARUPATHAR: With the worsening of the COVID-19 situation, Assam Police and the CRPF conducted a route march in Sarupathar under Golaghat district on Monday.

State Transport Minister Chandra Mohan Patowary had ordered on July 9 in Golaghat for route march at Sarupathar on Monday to impose COVID protocol in the district. The Guardian Minister of Golaghat district, Chandra Mohon Patowary also said, "Due to lack of awareness among people, infection of COVID-19 has been increasing in Golaghat district. We have ordered the district administration to enforce all relevant laws strictly."

The Superintendent of Police (SP) of Golaghat district was present in Sarupathar on Monday for route march and said, "Law has been strictly enforced in all parts in the subdivision to stop the spread of the virus. Besides the police and CRPF personnel's route march, all enforcing agencies have been alerted to prevent any violation of COVID protocol," he said.
