BONGAIGAON: The Railway Protection Force (RPF) of Northeast Frontier Railway has apprehended six Bangladeshi and rescued 12 minor boys/girls and one lady from different stations in different drives and checks conducted from September 30 to October 6.

In an incident on October 4, RPF team of Badarpur conducted a routine check at Bihara Railway Station. While checking they detected 6 Bangladeshi (4 male & 2 female). On interrogation, they could not produce valid documents and later confessed that they entered India illegally. Later all 6 Bangladeshis were apprehended and brought to the Badarpur RPF post and handed over to the Officer In-charge of Government Railway Police, Badarpur for further legal action, stated a press release.
