Sahitya Akademi Organizes ‘Meet the Author’ Programme in Udalguri

UDALGURI: Sahitya Akademi organized a ‘Meet the Author’ programme with renowned litterateur Baidyapati Dahal.

Sahitya Akademi published a brochure on writer Bidyapati Dahal and honoured him. A public felicitation was also held. Bidyapati Dahal had been conferred the ‘Mahakavi’ title by the Udalguri district committee of Asom Nepali Sahitya Sabha for his literary contribution. He has written Sankardev Mahakavyam and Madhavdev Mahakavyam.

The meeting was chaired by Gayatri Bhattarai, the president of Udalguri district ANSS. Damodardev Mahakavya of Bidyapati Dahal and Nepali Bhasha ra Utpatti of Tarapati Upadhyaya were released by Dr Khemraj Nepal in the programme.
