Sanction letters of PMAY-G beneficiaries distributed in Dibrugarh

DIBRUGARH: The Panchayat and Rural Development Department, Dibrugarh organized the PMAY-G sanction letters distribution ceremony at the Auditorium of District Library in Dibrugarh on Thursday. The State-Wise broadcasting of the programme which was live telecast from Srimanta Sankardeva International Auditorium, Simanta Sankardev Kalashetra, Panjabari witnessed the presence of large numbers of beneficiaries at the Dibrugarh District Library Auditorium.

About 3.8 lakh release of fund of PMAY-G beneficiaries was organised and at Dibrugarh the event was graced by Dibrugarh MLA Prasanta Phukan, Dibrugarh DC Biswajit Pegu, ADC Jitu Kumar Das, and Chairman of Zilla Parishad, Daisy Rani Phukan Shyam and officers and employees of other concerned departments also attended the meeting. After completion of the broadcasting programme, sanction letters for the beneficiaries of Dibrugarh district were distributed by the VIPs.

The Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Gramin (PMAY-G) “Housing for All” is a major state scheme undertaken by the Government of India to provide housing to the poor people of the rural areas by constructing concrete houses with all basic facilities to all households living in raw and dilapidated houses. The amount of money sanctioned is Rs. 1,30,000 for the beneficiary and on Thursday the first installment of Rs.32,500 was released into the accounts of the beneficiaries. The 2nd and the 3rd instalments are Rs.48,750.

On Thursday, 36 beneficiaries were offered the sanction letters and by Friday a total of 5741 beneficiaries will be offered their sanction letters by Dibrugarh MLA Prasanta Phukan.
