Sandiksha 27 Bn SSB celebrates Hariyali Teej in Barpeta

BARPETA: Sandiksha 27 Battalion SSB Howly celebrated Hariyali Teej Festival on Wednesday in the backdrop of 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav' to commemorate the 75th anniversary of India's Independence. During the inaugural session of the festival, Sandiksha president Pinky Anand welcomed and addressed the gathering of 250 Sandiksha members and invitees from other battalions of SSB under Sector Hqrs SSB Rangia, and other organizations like CRPF and SBI. In her speech, she said that the very purpose of Sandiksha was to generate a sense of accomplishment in the SSB wives, to promote programme for rehabilitation of widows and handicapped persons and to organize cultural and sports activities.

A 5-km run for family members was organized. A 5-km Cyclothon/Cycling was also organized from Bn Campus to Guwagacha Kshetra and back. Cultural programmes were performed by Sandiksha members enthusiastically. Jhula and mehandi were also enjoyed by each member as part of Hariyali Teej celebration.
