Saraswati Puja celebrated with fun and frolic in Udalguri district

TANGLA: Saraswati Puja was celebrated with great enthusiasm in Tangla town, the educational hub of Udalguri district on Tuesday.

All the education institutions celebrated Saraswati Puja in a vibrant manner with great pomp and religious fervour. People across all age groups wore their traditional best and gathered at their respective institutions to offer obeisance to the Goddess of education and knowledge. Small pandals were also put up in some areas where the people of locality paid obeisance to the Goddess of learning.

National Pioneer Junior College, Presidency Junior College, Arunodoi Academy, Tangla , Tangla English Medium High School and Tangla College also celebrated Saraswati Puja with great enthusiasm. The students of the institutions wore traditional dresses and were seen seeking blessing of Goddess Saraswati. Saraswati idols, brought in the school and college campuses the previous evening, were worshipped in the morning followed by distribution of prasad. Students enjoyed the day and a festive atmosphere prevailed.

DEMOW: Saraswati Puja was celebrated in Demow and its surrounding areas on Tuesday. Devotees invoked divine blessings for improving learning skills. Students prayed to Goddess Saraswati and later young boys and girls came out on the streets to celebrate Saraswati Puja.

The students went to their respective educational institutions wearing colourful dresses. After the anjali, prasad was distributed among the students. Saraswati Puja was also celebrated in the office of the All Assam Students' Union (AASU), Demow Regional Committee on Tuesday. Siksha Coaching Centre at Demow Lachit Nagar also celebrated Saraswati Puja.
