Sashastra Seema Bal conducts free training programme on tailoring and stitching

The 64th Battalion of Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), Barama on Thursday inaugurated a training programme of tailoring and stitching for 90 local unemployed women of Dara, Uttarkochi, Amguri, Patkijuli, Sukhanjuli and Darranga villages.

TAMULPUR: The 64th Battalion of Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), Barama on Thursday inaugurated a training programme of tailoring and stitching for 90 local unemployed women of Dara, Uttarkochi, Amguri, Patkijuli, Sukhanjuli and Darranga villages. A total 30 days tailoring and stitching training programme with effect from February 3 to March 4 is fully sponsored by 64th Bn SSB, Barama and is being imparted free of cost to the local unemployed women of bordering villages.

This training programme was inaugurated by Nand Kishore Tamta, Commandant of 64th Bn SSB, Barama in the presence of Kati Ram Boro, Speaker BTR and village heads. During the event, many local villagers were present and all of them appreciated the efforts of SSB. NK Tamta said that this programme will help in the skill upgrade of women giving a boost to future employment prospects. He also mentioned that despite of this programme, SSB is constantly implementing various welfare programmes for the people of bordering areas, fully realising its motto "Service , Security and Brotherhood". The programme of Darrangamela was graced by BTR MCLA Bizitgwra Narzary.
