LAKHIMPUR: A library, constructed in Dhakuakhana HS School with the investment of money donated by alumni of the school who had passed the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) exam in 1992, was inaugurated on Sunday. The 1992 batch of students of the school are at present working in various places of the State and outside the State. The lockdown presented them the opportunity to have a meeting together few months ago. Then they decided to contribute something to their school which shaped their future. As per resolution taken in the meeting, they decided to contribute money to build a library with advanced facilities. A galaxy of acclaimed personalities of the State like Homen Borgohain has scripted the history of the school, which is a remarkable academic institution not only of Dhakuakhana subdivision but also of Lakhimpur district.
