School Managing and Development Committees (SMDC) new president and vice president appointed

DOOMDOOMA: Along with the other districts of the State, the State Education Department appointed a new president and vice president of the School Managing and Development Committees (SMDC) of the High and Higher Secondary Schools of Tinsukia district as well. Accordingly, Assistant Professor of Botany of Doomdooma College and renowned social activist Manoj Dutta and former teacher of Rupai ME School Tarun Borthakur were appointed as the president and the vice president of the SMDC of Rupai High School respectively.

The new president and the vice president of the SMDC assumed charge in a meeting held at the school recently. The meeting was presided over by the outgoing president of the SMDC of the school Dr Bulu Tanti, a former Associate Professor of Margherita College. The outgoing vice president of the SMDC, Abhijit Khataniar and the teachers of the school were also present on this occasion.

The headmaster of the school Pradip Bora expressed gratitude to the outgoing president and vice president of the SMDC for their dedicated service for the development of the school during their tenure and welcomed the newly appointed president and the vice president. Earlier, Dr. Bulu Tanti inaugurated the new edition of the wall magazine of the school while Tarun Borthakur lit the ceremonial lamp.

On the other hand, Journalist Abhijit Khataniar and Assistant Professor of Mathematics of Doomdooma College Swapna Deka were appointed as the president and the vice president of the SMDC of Doomdooma Girls' Higher Secondary School.

The newly appointed president and the vice president took charge in a meeting presided over by the outgoing president of the SMDC of the school and a former Associate Professor of Doomdooma College Major Geeta Goswami.
