Science Forum of North Lakhimpur College (Autonomous) constituted science popularization among students

A CORRESPONDENT

LAKHIMPUR: The Science Forum of North Lakhimpur College (Autonomous) was constituted with an aim to undertake holistic endeavours with a multidisciplinary approach for science popularization among the students in particular and society as a whole. The objective of the forum would be to inculcate rational thinking and germinate the sense of scientific temperament among the masses irrespective of age, gender, caste, creed, or religion.

The forum would operate by organizing events that would create awareness and invite participation from all of the strata of the community, especially the students. A core committee has been formed for the smooth functioning of the forum with Principal Dr. Biman Chandra Chetia as the president, Dr. Dipankar Chetia as faculty coordinator, Dr. Parmita Phukan and Anjan Dutta as joint co-ordinators, Trinanayan Saikia as secretary, Plabon Pratim Saikia and Pallab Dutta as joint secretary, all heads of the science departments as faculty advisors, all faculties and students of science departments as members.
