Scooties distributed under Jeeviika Sakhi Express Scheme, 2022 at Lakhimpur

LAKHIMPUR: Under the Assam State Rural Livelihoods Mission (ASRLM), Panchayat and Rural Development, scooties were ceremonially distributed among the community cadres of Lakhimpur district on Tuesday. These scooties were distributed under the Jeeviika Sakhi Express Scheme, 2022. The Government of Assam launched the Jeeviika Sakhi Express Scheme, 2022 on August 21 of the current year, under which the government has been providing scooters to the community cadres. While launching the scheme, Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma already distributed 6,670 scooties to the beneficiaries of the Sakhi Express including Krishi Sakhi, Bima Sakhi, Pashu Sakhi, Jivika Sakhi who work as community cadres.

In Lakhimpur, the ceremonial programme on the occasion was organized in the auditorium of the District Library. In the programme, scooties were distributed among 271 women working as community cadres, like Jeevika Sakhi, Pashu Sakhi, Krishi Sakhi, Bank Sakhi, Bima Sakhi, Master Book Keepers (MBK) , Community Resource Person- Enterprise Promotion (CRP-EP) in nine Development Blocks under the district.

The programme was formally inaugurated by Lakhimpur MLA Manab Deka. Deputy Commissioner Manab Deka, Chief Executive Officer of Lakhimpur Zila Parishad Tripurendra Pator, ASRLM Lakhimpur District Project Manager Dipika Pegu, Lakhimpur BJP president Phanidhar Baruah and BMMU-ASRLM officials were among those who were present in the programme.
