Screening camp for PwD held in Jamugurihat

JAMUGURIHAT: A screening test for Persons with Disability (PwD) convened by Kanyaka Bahumukhi Krishi Pam, in collaboration with the Sonitpur district administration, was held at Tupiya Panchgaon Academy, Tupiya on Friday.

The screening camp initiated by Padma Hazarika, MLA Sootea, was inaugurated by Dr Rupak Barua, SDMO of North Jamuguri Block Primary Hospital. People form Charduar, Naduar and Nagsankar area thronged the screening camp. A medical team verified the persons and assessed their percentage of disabilities and provided medical certificates. The parents and the patients were assisted by Ajit Payeng, president of Naduar Anchalik Panchayat, Dipak Newar, president of Uttar Muradol GP, Kishor Dahal and Hitesh Barua, ZPC members beside others. The persons who got the medical certificates can avail government facilities now onwards, said Moti Kumar Newar, CEO of Kanyaka.
