RANGIA: Swapneel Paul, Subdivisional Officer (Civil), Rangia on Monday visited different schools of Rangia subdivision. Schools in the State re-opened on Monday after almost six months for classes IX to XII. SDO (C) Swapneel Paul visited Rangia Higher Secondary School, Rangia Girls' HS School, Tulshibari Bahumukhi HS School and Kamalpur HS School on Monday.

During his visit, the SDO(C) interacted with the students and teachers of these schools. He appealed to the students to come to school wearing masks properly and to maintain social distancing. He said that for every class, the students would be divided into two batches if the number of students in the class was above 20. Classes for the first batch will be held from 9 am to 12 noon, while for the second batch, classes will be held from 1 pm to 4 pm. The SDO(C) said that students attending the classes would have to produce an undertaking from their parents that they had no objection to their wards attending school.

The educational institutions of the subdivision were sanitized over the last few days. In some schools attendance of the students was very poor. But the students who attended the classes after six months were happy.
